Play live with Public Events

QuizTime v1.2 introduces a highly requested feature: public events.

How they work

Events are special game sessions organized by the community or the QuizTime team. Each event has a 6-character code you can type in the app to join, or you can open a direct link that will fill in the code automatically.

The live experience

• Lobby — after joining, you enter a waiting room where a timer counts down to the start of the event
• Multi-round games — each event consists of several rounds; the organizer controls the pace by starting rounds, revealing solutions, and reviewing partial leaderboards
• Final leaderboard — at the end, a dedicated leaderboard shows the podium with golden badges for the top three
• Event archive — in the "Past" tab you can review events you played and their results

Projector and organizer controls

For those organizing live events, QuizTime provides a full-screen projector view designed for big screens: it displays the join code in giant text, the clues for the current round, the countdown, and the leaderboard. A separate control panel lets the organizer manage every phase — from opening registrations through to completing the event.
